Assistance in obtaining an e-Visa

Since March 2018, only e-Visa can be used for one or more entries in the Sultanate of Oman. The traditional visa is no longer issued by the Omani Embassy or on arrival in the country.. This is not a request for authorisation to obtain an Omani visa on the spot, but a request toa genuine electronic visa issued by the Royal Oman PoliceThis will be issued to you online and must be presented on boarding and on arrival in the Sultanate of Oman.

Since December 2020, 103 nationalities have been visa-exempt for stays of up to 14 days in Oman.

What are the eligibility criteria for the Omani e-Visa?

1️⃣ Nationality

Travellers must be of one of the nationalities listed in the following section.

2️⃣ Validity

Travellers must hold a passport that is still valid at least 6 months after the date of entry into Oman.

3️⃣ Reason

Travellers go to Oman for tourism only.

4️⃣ Passport

You are strongly advised to have 3 blank pages (2 facing each other) in your passport when you arrive in Oman.

Nationals of Morocco 🇲🇦, Algeria 🇩🇿 and Tunisia 🇹🇳 can apply for these e-visas if they are married to an eligible person or if they are the children of an eligible person. This eligible person must also be travelling with them. The family record book proving parentage will be requested.

How much are the consular fees for the Oman e-Visa?

For atrip to Oman, it is compulsory to obtain a visa. The'e-Visa Oman single entry or multiple entry, offers you stays of up to 30 days maximum for tourism only. For a transit, it is also possible to apply for an Oman e-visa. Since 21 March 2018, only the e-Visa allows entry into the Sultanate of Oman for tourist purposes. The "classic" visa is no longer issued by embassies, and this is in order to reduce waiting times at representations and airports.

We recommend that you submit your application around 3 days before your Arrival in the Sultanate of Oman. Please note that once you have been published, you have 33 days to enter Oman. !

All Oman immigration crossing points (air, sea or land) are eligible for the Oman eVisa. Since the end of 2020 and the Covid-19 crisis, several European nationalities have been able to travel without a visa to Oman for short stays.

When should you travel to Oman?

To avoid the heat, it is advisable to visit the Sultanate of Oman in winter between November and March.

Places to visit in Oman

Considered one of the most beautiful villages in the sultanate, Misfat Al Abrein is situated at an altitude of 1,000 metres. Surrounded by fruit crops and traditional houses, this picturesque village will provide you with a unique getaway.

Also known as "the Norway of the Middle East", the Musandam Peninsula is packed with mountains and coves. An ideal spot for fishing, let yourself be tempted by a session with or without a guide and become the kings of fishing!

The natural pools of Wadi Bani Khalid, carved out of the rock, offer you a dip in translucent waters in the heart of a rock-strewn setting. So don't wait any longer and don your best swimming costume for a swim in an atypical place!

Security : Oman is one of the safest countries in the Gulf. Unless there is a compelling reason to do so, it is not advisable to travel to the border area with Yemen. If you are planning an excursion to desert regions, you must indicate your itinerary.
